Exotic Hardwoods
Exotic woods have unique qualities that set them apart and will add a luxurious sensation to your home. Our most popular hardwoods that we import included: Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba), Australian Cypress, Bamboo, Cork, and Tigerwood (Koa). Solid Hardwood
Solid wood is milled from a single 3/4" thick piece of hardwood and is the most durable of the hardwood poducts. Because of its thickness, a solid hardwood floor can be sanded and refinished over several generations of use.Click for a more detailed comparison of Solid and Engineered Floors
Engineered Floors
Engineered wood is produced with three to five layers of hardwood. Each layer is stacked in a cross-grain configuration and bonded together under heat and pressure. Unfinished Wood Products
Unfinished flooring comes raw directly from the mills and distributors in the wood's natural color. Usually Solid hardwoods come unfinished, but there are some unfinished engineered floors available too, but is mostly limited to domestic woods. Unfinished flooring is utilized in repairs and add-ons (where color match is essential), to create unique looks and patterns, and or when a more natural look is desired.
Pre-Finished Wood Products
Pre-finished flooring comes from the distributors and manufacturers stained and coated to the desired finish. Pre-finished floors are usually engineered flooring, come in numerous finishes, and have the best color and stain consistency. Pre-finished flooring is best used when it is the first wood floor being installed in a home (ie. no preexisting wood needs to be color matched, when uniformity and consistency is desired, and or to achieve a contemporary or modern look. Custom Design
Desire a one of a kind floor or need a unique look? Not only do we assist in designing custom patterns, borders, medallions and inlays, but we also do grain and surface distressing as well as glazing. Grain distressing darkens the grain for a more punctuated and bold look, while surface distressing adds character to create an aged and rustic look. Stairs are a specialty project and require the precision of an experienced professional installer. Do not trust just any flooring sub-contractor to do your stair job. Negative Air Machine
While installing or re-finishing your floor we utilize a Negative Air Machine, the HEPA 500 to circulate and clean the air removing dust and chemical vapors from your home. The HEPA 500 uses an efficient mix of airflow and filtration to create cleaner air. The units maximum 500 CFM motor draws air into two types of filters, a pre-filter which captures the larger particles while the HEPA filter captures the finer particles down to 0.3 microns. What makes the Dri-Eaz defend Air HEPA 500 unique is its (CADR) clean air delivery rate. The CADR of the HEPA 500 has the capability to circulate and filter a room's air two to three times an hour.
